Senior Immigration Attorney
Sanabria & Associates, PLLC, is a fast-growing and prestigious law firm with multiple offices in Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Florida. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified attorney with significant immigration and management experience.
The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, team member, strategic planner, manager, and self-starter. The candidate must also possess good business acumen and the desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-growth practice.
If selected, the attorney needs the ability to handle a fast caseload, conduct day-to-day interactions with clients and potential clients, manage a team of paralegals and attorneys, meet the needs of their respective offices, meet deadlines, and be available to their clients and the firm's partners as needed. Organizational skills and project management are essential to the success of the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage multiple associate attorneys, cases, paralegals, projects, and admin staff
• Train and supervise new attorneys and staff
• Regularly check-in with team and provide leadership with a status report of respective office and employees
• Prepare presentations and resources for continuing attorney training
• Assist leadership with complex cases that require a more in-depth legal analysis and strategy
• Track and manage team deadlines
• Meet with potential new clients
• Coordinate case and legal strategy with associate attorneys and paralegals
• Prepare and revise court documents
• Conduct legal research and write motions, briefs, and memoranda
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and judicial case law
• Market the law firm's services
• Work one Saturday a month with the potential for bonuses for new clients signed during those days
• Cross-sell various other practices within the law firm
• Handle court hearings and trials
• Use expertise on Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, Waivers, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School (required)
• Active Bar License in Good Standing from any US State or PR (required)
• Authorized to work in the US
• Fluent in Spanish (required)
• Immigration experience (3 years or significant experience with transferable skills)
