Job Summary
This position supports the Litigation Team by handling key paralegal functions to ensure the effective and timely management of litigation cases. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for a range of litigation-specific duties, including discovery management, settlement processing, deposition preparation, and trial support. This role requires experience in first-party property litigation and involves collaboration across the entire litigation team.

Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities
- Propound and follow up on written discovery requests
- Draft releases, request settlement checks, and pursue dismissals in settled cases
- Ensure settled claims are closed in a timely manner
- Assist legal assistants with scheduling tasks, as needed
- Prepare Corporate Representative Deposition Binders
- Assist with the preparation of evidence and trial binders
- Serve as a backup for maintaining litigation logs
- Support the litigation team in all stages of litigation processes
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
- Minimum of two years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of education and significant directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Required: experience in first-party property insurance litigation
- Strong understanding of discovery procedures and case progression
- Familiarity with the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and e-filing systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Proficiency with case management systems and standard office software
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workstreams independently
- Ability to think critically, assess risk, and make informed decisions
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and draft large bodies of legal text
- Capable of handling case logistics and documentation preparation efficiently
- High attention to detail with the ability to follow up and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Ability to utilize case management software and various computer systems
