Associate Attorney (NIV) 

Erickson Immigration Group has a career opportunity for an experienced Associate Attorney (NIV) to join our expanding team in a fully remote or hybrid capacity. EIG offers a competitive salary, excellent employee benefits, and ample opportunity for professional growth.

 Primary Responsibilities: 

  • With a high-volume caseload, prepares and files petitions and applications, for employment-based non-immigrant visas, including (but not limited to) H-1B, TN, E-3, L1, O-1 and associated dependent filings.
  • Maintains ownership and ultimate responsibility for a full docket of 200-300 business immigration - Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) cases at a time
  • Manages preparing and filing RFE Responses
  • Audits projects that include Public Access Files, data integrity, and billing
  • Serves as NIV subject matter expert and provides comprehensive candidate assessments for clients
  • Manages H-1B Cap Cases
  • Ensures that Paralegals draft, organize, and file immigration documentation in a thorough and timely manner
  • Carefully and promptly reviews Paralegal work products
  • Utilizes high-level business immigration law knowledge and precise attention to detail to ensure the team produces error-free legal work
  • Synthesizes legal research and analyses into written memoranda or briefs; analyzes and summarizes complex legal documents
  • Identifies potential immigration issues and develop strategies to address them
  • Prepares client presentations
  • Conducts and participates in client meetings and calls
  • Handles client relations issues as needed

Qualification Requirements: 

  • 2-4 years of business immigration attorney work experience
  • U.S. Juris Doctor degree (J.D.)
  • Member of a state bar and in good standing with the associated state bar association
  • Ability to manage complex case strategies with company contacts and clients
  • Understanding of nuanced and complex immigration law concepts.
  • Ability to review Paralegal work product carefully and promptly
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, governmental agencies, internal and external resources)
  • Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems
  • Strong organizational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to generate work product with considerable accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service 
  • Outstanding case/project management skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Accepts and adapts to feedback regarding work performance 
  • Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and Case Management Systems – Salesforce (Litify), VisaTrax/INS Zoom and other Document Management Systems.
