GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Step into high-impact public service without sacrificing your life outside of work.  Whether you are interested in transitioning from private practice or are an ambitious early-career attorney who wants immediate autonomy, the Attorney General's Office offers an attractive alternative to private practice.  You will engage in complex state-level legal work paired with a supportive and collaborative culture.

Why join the Civil Division?

  • Immediate Counsel and Litigation Experience: Advise agency leaders directly on complex statutory, administrative, and regulatory issues.
  • Cutting-Edge Legal Practice: Engage with innovative state initiatives - such as digital assets and economic development - alongside deep general public law practice.
  • True Work-Life Balance: Leave billable hour requirements and build a long-term legal career supported by comprehensive state benefits and predictable hours.
If you are ready to advance your legal career with meaningful work, predictable hours, and direct impact across Wyoming, we want to hear from you. Review the position requirements below and submit your application today.
