The District's Office of Counsel is seeking to hire an attorney with practice experience in Environmental Law and permitting. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience or demonstrated interest in environmental and water law, particularly as it relates to permitting, regulatory compliance, and administrative law in Florida.  Superior writing skills with a keen eye for details is a must.

The District offers a competitive salary, excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits, ample vacation and sick time, FRS retirement benefits, employee discount programs, and more.

NOTE: This position may be filled at the lower level of Associate Attorney.
If filled as an Associate Attorney, the candidate must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Pursuant to Chapter 295, Florida Statutes, candidates eligible for Veterans’ Preference will receive preference in employment for vacancies and are encouraged to apply. Candidates claiming Veterans’ Preference must attach supporting documentation with each submission that includes character of service (for example, DD Form 214 Member Copy #4) along with any other documentation as required by Rule 55A-7, Florida Administrative Code.  All documentation is due by the close of the job posting.
