Job Summary

  • The Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting our legal team and property management division. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of real estate legal matters, including contract administration, lease enforcement, evictions, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Review: Assist in the review, drafting, and negotiation of leases, vendor agreements, purchase agreements, and other real estate-related contracts.
  • Property Management Legal Support: Work closely with the property management team to address legal issues such as tenant defaults, evictions, lease enforcement, and dispute resolution.
  • Estoppels, SNDAs, and Terminations: Provide support in the preparation and review of estoppel certificates, subordination non-disturbance and attornment agreements (SNDAs), and lease termination documents.
  • Legal Research: Research federal, state, and local real estate laws and regulations; track legislative changes impacting commercial property operations.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize legal documents, files, and correspondence to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.
  • Compliance: Monitor and help ensure compliance with applicable real estate, zoning, and lease laws and regulations.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a key point of contact between legal counsel, internal teams, tenants, and outside vendors to facilitate the resolution of legal and operational matters.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience
  • Solid understanding of real estate law, lease agreements, and property management legal issues
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Salary
  • $65,000 - $95,000/year
