- Job Description
A senior level attorney in the Financial Crimes Division is expected to routinely handle sensitive and complex legal assignments and litigation. The Senior level attorney is expected to prepares pleadings, develops legal positions and strategies, and conducts criminal prosecutions without assistance. Examples of the more complex matters handled by the incumbent would include, among other things, interpretations of statutes, state and federal constitutions, sophisticated proofs, and cases with major consequences for the People of the State of Michigan. A Senior level attorney assists in the coordination of activities and/or formal or informal mentoring of less experienced staff by serving as a resource person. The employee requires less supervision than a 15 level attorney, but is expected to keep clients and supervisors advised as to the status of all matters he/she is handling.
Position Description- Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law.
Experience
Four years of post-bar admission legal experience.- Additional Requirements and Information
Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.
