Duties If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for performing specific program activities within the District of Utah which promote compliance with federal laws and policy concerning assistance for federal crime victims. Typical work assignments will include: Coordinating with Department personnel, tribal, federal, state and local law enforcement and victim service providers in providing victims with the services required by federal law and Departmental Guidelines. Researching, reviewing and distributing to Department personnel, federal, state and local law enforcement and victim service agencies, any information regarding new programs and services for victims in Indian Country. Developing and providing training, information and resources to attorneys, support staff, and staff of federal investigative agencies, state and local law enforcement and community services providers on tribal victim matters. Ensuring regular and effective functioning of the district-level programs to promote compliance with federal guidelines and overall litigative effectiveness. Speaking to public, civic, industry and special interest groups about victim issues to publicize federal efforts to develop and improve programs for victims, and efforts to promote interest and support at the local level. Responding to tribal victim inquiries via phone, e-mail, letter and fax, assessing victim concerns and determining eligibility for victim services. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Salary- $74,678 - $97,087/year
