About the Role
Tort Intake Professionals is seeking compassionate, analytical, and client-centered Paralegals to join our Ben Crump Law (BCL) Intake Team, focused on personal injury cases. In this critical role, you will be the voice of empathy and professionalism for potential new clients (PNCs) who are navigating trauma and uncertainty.
You will conduct client outreach, engage in meaningful conversations, review initial screening notes, and evaluate whether cases meet established criteria for legal retention. Your role is pivotal in ensuring each caller feels heard, respected, and supported—regardless of the outcome.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct thorough intake interviews by phone and email with PNCs involved in personal injury matters
- Review screener-submitted leads to identify missing or incomplete information
- Ask thoughtful, empathetic follow-up questions to clarify case details and assess legal viability
- Recommend whether each case should be retained, requires further review, or should be declined
- Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions and decision rationale in the case management system
- Ensure compliance with internal protocols, contractual obligations, and ethical standards
- Engage clients with empathy and professionalism, recognizing the trauma many have experienced
- Coordinate with internal Call Managers and team members to ensure seamless lead transfers and client handoffs
- Follow a structured outreach cadence: Call first, Email second, Text third
- Maintain a regular, in-office schedule and adhere to established attendance expectations
Your Background
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Paralegal Certification or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of legal intake or case evaluation experience required (personal injury preferred)
- Strong familiarity with legal terminology and criteria used in evaluating PI cases
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to manage sensitive conversations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to treat every client with dignity and care, especially in vulnerable moments
- Highly skilled in analyzing nuanced information to reach sound conclusions and case recommendations
- Consistently demonstrate active listening and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and calmly
- Consistently showcase teamwork while embodying the mission and reputation of Ben Crump Law with integrity
- Experience with legal CRM or intake systems is a plus

Compensation: $26.00 Hourly
