
Calibrate has been retained by a nationally respected law firm, to identify a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will lead the firm in its next chapter. This is a unique opportunity to steward a legacy of legal excellence while driving operational excellence, cultural continuity, and strategic growth. The CEO will work closely with firm leadership to improve operational efficiencies, build trust across the partnership, and position the firm for long-term success in a dynamic legal landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Financial Leadership: Lead firm operations and financial management with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and scalable infrastructure, while improving processes, systems, and tools that drive long-term excellence and profitability.
Legal Industry Strategy & Alignment: Apply deep legal industry insight to navigate partner-led dynamics, align business operations with practice and client priorities, and anticipate trends to keep the firm competitive and client-focused.
People-Centered Leadership & Culture Building: Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture by leading with authenticity and transparency, promoting collaboration across all roles, and advancing workforce strategies that support talent development, generational alignment, alumni engagement, and succession planning.
Strategic Vision & Change Management: Drive the ongoing refinement of firm strategy by setting clear goals, translating priorities into action, building broad consensus, and leading thoughtful change—balancing innovation with legacy while exploring opportunities in AI, new practice areas, and market expansion.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of senior operational leadership within a professional services firm, preferably with legal industry experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex organizations through influence, collaboration, and credibility.
- Strong financial, strategic, and operational acumen; ability to lead with both vision and execution.
- Deep understanding of law firm dynamics, including partner relationships, client service models, and business functions.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and change leadership skills.
