We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a full time General Counsel position in the Houston area.
Job Description:
- Researches and provides guidance regarding federal, state, and local regulations which impact the general and operating business activities of the organization
- Provide updates to executive staff on legislative and regulatory changes which impact the operations of the organization
- Provide advise to executive staff on legal matters as they arise
- Serve as primary contact for all legal matters related to the organization and managing owner
- Assist outside counsel with legal matters
- Review and draft business contracts for the organization and managing owner
- Draft and file entity formation documents, business legal documents, state related business registration and annual reports
- Manage organization's intellectual property and statutory filings
- Maintain all legal related records for organization
- Support clinical compliance team as needed
Qualifications:
- Have a Juris Doctor (JD) Degree in related legal field
- Hold active license to practice law in Texas
- Experience as general counsel or comparable legal role
- Experience with healthcare law
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
- Knowledgeable of how healthcare businesses operate
- Comprehensive understanding of legal documents related to private offerings for ownership
- Effective communication skills
