The mediation team is a liaison between the Loss Mitigation Credit Analyzers and the court system. The Mediation staff members work closely with Loss Mitigation, Counsel, and the courts to ensure the borrower is afforded their rights to a mediation. Mediation staff must be efficient on the Credit Analyzer role. Full understanding of the waterfalls offered by investors. Confidence to attend court hearings to relay the results of the Loss Mitigation review.Job Description
- Supports PNC Legal and outside counsel in defense of legal matters at PNC by preparation and validation of documents needed for trials. Attends uncontested foreclosure matters as the PNC business representative with the intent of minimizing costs associated with mediations and maximizing opportunities for homeownership preservation.
- Represents PNC in a variety of formal legal proceedings, including settlement conferences, mediation, hearings, depositions and trials.
- Works with PNC Legal and outside counsel in preparation and validation of legal documents needed to defend PNC in all manner of legal proceedings, including verification of responses to initial claims, discovery requests, interrogations, requests for admissions, and affidavits to support other legal filings.
- Coordinates communication/information among internal departments, PNC Legal Department and outside counsel.
- Researches loan files and provides information and insight in the context of litigated issues. Provides case summaries, analysis and recommendations. Manages queues and efforts to move the case forward to completion.
