As part of a small and dedicated team, you will support United Grinding North America from our corporate headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio on a wide range of legal and compliance matters in a highly international context. You will work closely with various departments in cross-functional teams and assume responsibility of the legal work-stream in negotiations, documentation and execution of contracts.
Your key responsibilities will be the following
- drafting, reviewing, negotiating and documenting commercial contracts, mainly related to sourcing activities and the manufacture, supply and distribution of our products
- advising the business on all legal matters and developing pragmatic solutions to legal issues for all areas of the business
- handling of disputes, litigation and investigations and overseeing legal defense actions in disputes with suppliers and customers
- managing external lawyers as required
- handling corporate law and corporate secretary matters
- supporting integration activities emerging from recent M&A transaction
Your Qualifications
- JD and membership in the American Bar Association
- 5 years post-qualification experience in a law firm or in the legal department of a multinational company
- solid experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- willingness to travel
