Duties
  • Serve as the Command Equal Employment Specialist for the Brigade.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction of the Brigade Equal Employment Program throughout the Brigade.
  • Participate in planning, organizing, and overseeing EEO programs from informal to formal for the Brigade.
  • Advise key officers, managers and supervisors on EEO program objectives, and action plans.
  • Develop and implement Brigade policies and procedures related to Equal Employment.
  • Evaluates the Brigade's EEO programs, analyzes and identifies problem areas, and makes recommendations for improvement.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Specialized Experience at the GS13 level: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience at the next lower grade level which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled which includes: advising employees and senior leaders on EEO related issues/concerns, processing EEO complaints, and interpreting EEO regulations and laws to advise management on EEO related issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Analysis and Research Assessment and Compliance Review Manages and Organizes Information Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement at the GS12 Grade level: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement at the GS13 Grade level: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
