Our prestigious client in downtown Reno is seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal for their busy, reputable boutique law firm, working with wills/estates/trusts. The position requires previous experience working in a law firm and is a great temp-to-hire opportunity!
What the Legal Assistant/Paralegal will need to have:
- Responds positively to changes to deadlines, priorities, etc., and has experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Skilled at reading, analyzing and drawing conclusions from information presented
- Above average writing, editing and proof-reading skills, and strives for accuracy
- Systems-oriented with excellent project/task management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is necessary for this position.
- Communicative, curious, proactive, takes initiative, and enjoys a sense of ownership
- Experience in any of the following areas preferred: wills, estates, trusts
- 2+ years’ legal assistant or paralegal experience required
What the Legal Assistant/Paralegal will do:
- Managing attorney’s task list
- Maintaining calendars/scheduling
- Preparing correspondence
- Preparing and filing and/or recording various types of legal documents
- Maintaining and organizing files
- Conducting legal research
- Client communications, including client intake calls
Monday-Friday, 8:30-5pm
