We are seeking an eDiscovery Analyst with strong expertise in Microsoft backend systems, particularly Microsoft Purview, to support our legal and compliance teams. This role requires in-depth knowledge of eDiscovery processes, litigation support software, technology-assisted review (TAR), and data governance practices. The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise-level discovery workflows and ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal, and cybersecurity frameworks.

What you’ll do in your role.

eDiscovery Process & Workflow Management

  • Manage end-to-end eDiscovery workflows, including data identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, and production.
  • Ensure eDiscovery processes align with regulatory compliance, FRCP requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Oversee litigation hold and custodian tracking, and legal preservation efforts across various enterprise data sources.

Microsoft Purview & Backend System Expertise

  • Leverage Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Standard & Premium) to search, collect, and export enterprise data in compliance with legal requests.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 compliance tools, including Audit, Information Protection, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  • Manage retention policies, labeling, and information governance within the Microsoft compliance center.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure data security and access controls within Azure, SharePoint, Exchange, and OneDrive.

Litigation Support & Data Management

  • Maintain and optimize litigation support databases  (Relativity, Everlaw, Casepoint, Nuix, Brainspace).
  • Perform advanced searches and analytics using Boolean logic, metadata filters, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Implement TAR, predictive coding, and data culling techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy in document review.

Regulatory Compliance & Security

  • Ensure adherence to GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SEC, and other data privacy regulations in eDiscovery processes.
  • Work with cybersecurity and risk management teams to mitigate data breaches and unauthorized disclosures.
  • Assist in internal investigations, government inquiries, and regulatory audits requiring eDiscovery expertise.

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Identify and implement workflow automation for legal hold notifications, data collection, and review processes.
  • Evaluate emerging AI-driven analytics, machine learning tools, and automation platforms for improving efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain best practices and SOPs for internal eDiscovery operations.

Collaboration & Training

  • Provide technical guidance and training to legal, compliance, and IT teams on Microsoft Purview and eDiscovery best practices.
  • Develop and manage technology testing, roll-out plan
  • Act as the liaison between legal, IT, and compliance teams to align eDiscovery processes with corporate objectives.

The experience you’ll bring.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in eDiscovery, data governance, or litigation support, or Microsoft backend administrative experience.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Standard & Premium), Microsoft Compliance Center, and Microsoft 365 backend systems.
  • Experience with eDiscovery platforms (Relativity, Nuix, Casepoint, Everlaw, Brainspace).
  • Strong knowledge of metadata analysis, search query structuring, and workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft Graph API, and compliance reporting tools.

Legal & Compliance Expertise:

  • Understanding of the technical impacts of eDiscovery law, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), and FRCP compliance.
  • Experience supporting litigation, investigations, and regulatory audits.

Process & Project Management Skills:

  • Ability to design, document, and refine eDiscovery workflows.
  • Experience in project management, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to improve eDiscovery efficiency.

Communication & Leadership:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to train and educate legal and IT teams on Microsoft Purview and eDiscovery best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Compliance and eDiscovery Specialist.
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or equivalent certification or experience.
  • Experience with cloud-based data governance and compliance monitoring tools.

    Base Pay Range: $85,400 - $154,000Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
