Job Description
RumbergerKirk seeks a Paralegal with family law experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in case management, document production, working with experts, trial preparation and strong knowledge of Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure. The position requires exceptional oral and written skills, have the ability to manage and prioritize large volume of caseload, work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information related to cases and clients.
Position Details
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as petitions, discovery requests, financial affidavits, and marital settlement agreements
- File documents with the court and manage case dockets
- Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Organize and maintain case files, documents, and evidence.
- Assist with trial preparation, including compiling exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed
- Track and manage deadlines, hearings, and court appearances.
Qualifications
- Associate degree, paralegal certificate from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience required
- 3 + years of family law experience
- Strong knowledge of Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and client service
