Project Assistant

Are you looking to jump start your career and join an established firm that wants to help you grow? Nelson Mullins is seeking a litigation project assistant in our Baltimore office to support paralegals and attorneys in a range of matters in state and federal court.

As a part of your daily responsibilities will require you work directly with paralegals and attorneys on complex litigation matters in a variety of industries.  You’ll assist with maintaining and monitoring court deadlines for assigned cases and support paralegals and attorneys with daily tasks including, but not limited to, document organization, maintenance, and production. Other responsibilities will require you to track and manage discovery, including document productions; participate in case strategy meetings; and handle routine calls and correspondence to courts, outside attorneys, and clients.

The ideal candidate for this position possesses well-developed critical thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.  You have a strong sense of accountability, take ownership over projects and responsibilities, resolve issues proactively, and know how to be a true team player.  You’re a technology pro and have no problem learning new software.  You utilize your keen eye for detail to further teamwork, client services, and efficiency

• A two- or four-year degree and paralegal certificate is highly desired, however work experience may be substituted for education.

• Salary/Wage Range - $40,000 - $50,000 annually. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for merit-based raises and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans and paid time off.
