- Description
The Deputy Solicitor General will assist the Solicitor General in all capacities. - Examples of Duties
- Handle significant constitutional and appellate litigation in state and federal courts in Indiana including authoring briefs and delivering oral arguments.
- Prepare recommendations to join amicus brief requests and litigation requests. Keep track of joint requests.
- Provide assignments and supervise law clerks.
- Communicate effectively in oral arguments, and with opposing and outside counsel.
- Typical Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana
- Four to seven years of related experience
- Federal appellate clerkship (preferred)
- Excellent writing and legal skills
- Significant experience in appellate litigation or federal administrative law is a plus

Pay commensurate with experience.
