
Job Description
Receptionist Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in our Tysons office. This position is on-site. The individual would be supporting attorneys as well as managing the reception desk in the office. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced legal environment and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
- Manage case files and maintain document databases
- Manage the IP docket
- Support attorneys’ billing efforts
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other meetings
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Perform legal research and analysis
- Assist with trial preparation
Receptionist Responsibilities:
Our Tysons office is home to five attorneys so the receptionist role will likely be secondary to the Legal Assistant responsibilities.
- Greet clients and guests of the firm
- Manage phone system
- Manage mail and deliveries
- Meeting set-up
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant
- Experience supporting an IP practice (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work on-site in our Tysons office every day
