GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Elevate your legal career and find a healthy work-life balance by joining the Wyoming Office of the Attorney General. We are seeking highly motivated, organized, and professional applicants for a Legal Support Specialist position in the Administration Office.
Responsibilities include the ability to assess a situation when handling the many assorted calls, correspondence, and interactions with the public. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records for several management systems.

- Perform administrative duties as assigned by the administrative staff.
- Deal with visitors and callers seeking assistance professionally and helpfully.
- Interpret incoming messages and correspondence for a timely response.
- Maintain accurate and complete records using several management systems.
- Process and maintain an accurate tracking system for Administrative and Law Office correspondence, emails, etc.
- Screen mail for the Administrative Office and re-route as necessary.
- Manage the Webmaster email account.
- Assist with website updates and Enterprise Technology System requests.
- Assist with travel arrangements, requests, and reimbursements.
- Maintain an accurate tracking system for bill reviews during the legislative session.
- Assist with training room scheduling, configuration, materials, and attendance.
- Assist in creating and archiving case files.
- Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to applicants with familiarity with legal processes, word processing, and file management systems.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of legal processes and law office workflow.
- Knowledge of Google, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint computer programs.
- Skill in time management.
- Skill in professional, oral, and written communication.
- Skill in working with the public and staff members.
- Ability to reason logically, analyze situations accurately, and recommend an effective course of action.
- Ability to work cooperatively with attorneys, support staff, and the general public.
- Ability to use office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Bachelor's Degree (Typically in Legal Studies/Paralegal)Experience:0-1 year of progressive work experience (Typically in Legal Studies/Paralegal)OREducation & Experience Substitution:3-4 years of progressive work experience (Typically in Legal Studies/Paralegal)

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- Desk work and limited lifting are required when working with office records.
NOTES:- FLSA: Non-exempt
- Successful applicants are required to pass a background investigation.
