Responsibilities
We are seeking a Litigation Case Manager to support our legal team in managing and overseeing the progress of cases from inception to resolution. This role involves coordinating all aspects of the litigation process, ensuring timely and efficient management of cases, assisting attorneys with preparing for trials and hearings, while providing clients with exceptional customer service.
Your primary responsibilities will involve collaborating with attorneys and paralegals, as well as working cross-departmentally to accomplish the following tasks:
Medical Case Management:
- Oversee and manage the medical aspects of personal injury cases.
- Coordinate with medical providers to ensure clients receive necessary treatment and care.
- Monitor the progress of clients' medical treatment and recovery.
Client Communication:
- Assist in maintaining regular and effective communication with clients.
- Ensure all clients receive a return call within 24 business hours.
- Provide clients with status updates and address their inquiries promptly and professionally.
Document Management:
- Conduct comprehensive case reviews to ensure all relevant medical records, bills, and liens are accurately documented and organized in case files.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation for each case.
Preparation for Legal Proceedings:
- Assist in the preparation for discovery, mediation, and trial.
- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure all medical aspects of the case are well-documented and organized for presentation in court.
Post-Settlement Activities:
- Handle the negotiation and reduction of medical bills and liens following case settlements.
- Draft settlement closing statements to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of settlement funds.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in handling complex case management, with examples of effectively managing a high caseload and achieving favorable outcomes
- Proven experience in personal injury law is preferred, but a can-do attitude and the ability to learn quickly are paramount
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically
- Experience utilizing Filevine preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
- A passion for working with others to deliver a positive experience and respect
- Appreciate and understand how we work together internally has a direct impact on how we are perceived externally
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)
