Manning Gross + Massenburg LLP (“MG+M”) is currently seeking a Legal Calendar Clerk for any of our four California offices: Irvine, Los Angeles, San Francisco OR Walnut Creek.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with litigation support experience in general liability, employment law and/or toxic tort who is specifically looking to further their career by taking on an important role as part of a growing office of a national law firm.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Track all legal and filing deadlines using firm software, Milana/Compulaw.
- Manage and review pleadings and enter entries and deadlines into Milana/Compulaw.
- Maintain the appearance calendar; docket all urgent E-Serve and Fax documents pertaining to appearances.
- Docket hearings, discovery, and all information as it relates to pleadings
- Confirm daily and weekly appearances for the entire state of California.
- Manage and review records and enter schedules or deadlines into Milana/Compulaw.
- Disseminate incoming filings to the case team.
- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, administrative assistants, and legal assistants.
- Generate reports for appearances and deadlines.

Skills and Abilities:
- Lexis Nexis/File & Serve Express, Pacer, ECF, File Site or other comparable document management system, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, DropBox, CompuLaw, ALN and Excel. (Aderant and File Site knowledge is a plus.)
- Attendance & Punctuality: Be consistently at work and on time; arrive at meetings and appointments on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.
- Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
- Dependability: Follow instructions; complete tasks on time; commit to the hours necessary to complete assignments; work independently.
- Team Work: Contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone’s efforts to succeed.
- Technical Skills: Possess basic PC skills; ability to use phone system, copier, scanner, fax, and printer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma required (College degree is preferred, but not required).
- Minimum of one to three years of experience in litigation administrative position. Asbestos experience is a plus.
- $80,000 - $45,000/year
