Job Description

Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, currently has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Legal Support Specialist for the Government Law & Policy department of our Tallahassee office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.

Position Summary:

The LSS will assist a team of legal and government affairs professionals, providing exceptional service to clients. Responsibilities include managing administrative tasks, producing documents, and delivering timely insurance specific information. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs administrative tasks, including client interactions and document production.
  • Works on departmental activities and additional assigned duties.
  • Prepares and circulate external communications (state, federal and industry specific).
  • Covers meetings and formulate notes that will be provided to internal/external clients.
  • Researches industry topics and create presentations for speaking engagements.
  • Special projects as needed.
  • Maintains organization, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Strong proofreading and organizational abilities.
  • Proactive and capable of working independently.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.

Qualifications and Prior Experience:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a professional administrative role, ideally in legislative/government affairs.
  • Familiarity with alerts and reporting related to insurance and regulatory updates.
