Our Valuation and Litigation Support Group combines highly specialized accounting, valuation and forensic expertise to look beyond the numbers and financial information in all facets of litigation and non-litigation matters. Valuation and litigation support specializes in business valuations, economic loss analysis and forensic accounting, expert witness testimony and marital dissolution consulting.
Our firm is seeking a Financal Analyst/Consultant to join our Valuation & Litigation Support Group in the Troy, MI office. Doeren Mayhew offers a diversified experience in public accounting providing our employees with many opportunities to grow, develop and advance within their careers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with or direct the set-up, organization, and maintenance of client files
- Analyze and validate accuracy of client documents; extract and summarize relevant information
- Conduct market and industry research using a variety of resources
- Performance of financial modeling and analysis
- Apply business valuation approaches and methods to a variety of tangible and non-tangible assets including equity valuations
- Prepare supporting documents for valuation and litigation cases
- Assist with compiling, analyzing and documenting facts for matters in litigation
- Assist in drafting reports and findings including the preparation of tables, exhibits and charts
- Assist in proofing schedules, calculations, work papers, reports, and other documents
- Frequent phone, email or in-person communication with clients
- Assist with the professional development of other staff members
- Attend and participate in various marketing events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong academic credentials (minimum GPA of 3.4)
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting or consulting (experience in litigation support, business valuation, or forensics a plus)
- Expectation of future advancement towards one or more designations (CVA, ABV, ASA, CFE)
- Accounting, finance, and economics knowledge required
- Strong research and analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and modeling
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills including the ability to interact with clients and attorneys
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
