What You'll Do:

AB-PCI wishes to hire a detail-oriented legal analyst to work with the investment team. The candidate will support the internal legal counsel with legal expense management, documentation management, portfolio management, selected fund compliance requirements, and facilitation of the AB-PCI investment process.

The opportunity allows for significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders across a scaled and growing investment platform, including the AB-PCI investment, middle office and finance teams, Alliance Bernstein legal/risk/compliance, and external lawyers.

As a legal analyst for AB-PCI, you should be detail-oriented, have the ability to solve problems, take initiative, and work well as part of a team, while maintaining unquestionable integrity and a fiduciary mindset.  Responsibilities are expected to include:

  • Documentation Management:  Organize and manage documentation relating to AB-PCI investments (debt, equity), fund compliance (VCOC compliance, select BDC compliance matters), and related process documentation including AML/KYC and UCC filings. Assist internal counsel with legal documentation data collection.

  • Process Ownership:  Assist internal counsel in managing the operational rhythm of legal processes and reporting. This includes legal invoice tracking, insurance tracking, UCC tracking and reporting, and NDA processes.

  • Internal & External Communication:  Support reporting requests or inquiries from various groups across AllianceBernstein and AB-PCI, including legal, regulatory, risk, compliance, credit, business development, originations, and finance teams.  Collaborate with in-house counsel to correspond with outside counsel or other external counterparties, as required.

  • Selected Fund Level Reporting:  Maintain selected fund level and legal entity documentation and reporting.
