Position Overview
GLP Attorneys is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our high-performing accounting and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing or recently completing a degree in business, accounting, or finance who is eager to apply their skills in a professional legal environment.
This full-time, in-office position at our Seattle headquarters is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process. The role includes vendor setup and maintenance, invoice processing, expense reconciliation, records management, and light oversight of support staff—all within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Process client cost advances and maintain accurate billing records
- Manage firm expenditure payments, including receipt tracking, reconciliation, corporate credit card posting, and disbursements
- Coordinate vendor onboarding, including W-9 collection and records maintenance
- Prepare and submit annual 1099 filings in compliance with IRS requirements
- Provide guidance and day-to-day mentorship to a part-time Accounting Clerk
- Recommend and support improvements to accounts payable processes and systems to ensure efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
- Education: Actively pursuing or recently earned a degree in business, accounting, or finance
- Experience: 3–5 years of administrative, clerical, or accounting support experience preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook); experience with legal or accounting software is a plus
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organization: High attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Initiative: Self-driven and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Compensation and Benefits The non-exempt hourly pay range for a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk in Seattle is $27.00 to $31.00 per hour.
GLP Attorneys determines the compensation for positions using local, national, and industry-specific data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wages in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our firm. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Compensation will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
GLP Attorneys proudly offers a competitive total rewards package. In addition to the base rate, the firm provides employees with vision, dental, medical/rx insurance (with the option to open a health savings account), life insurance, a firm-sponsored employee assistance program, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a discretionary safe harbor and profit-sharing feature. GLP Attorneys sponsors 100% of the employee premium for those enrolled in the HSA preferred medical plan ($3k deductible), 75% for the base plan ($1k deductible), and 75% for the buy-up plan ($750 deductible). The firm sponsors 25% of all medical dependent coverage. GLP Attorneys sponsors 75% of the employee premium for those enrolled in the vision plan and 25% of the employee premium for those enrolled in a dental plan. Employees are responsible for the premiums for dependent coverage on the vision and dental plans.
