Job Description

This role supports the legal team on a range of legal issues, projects, and administrative tasks such as:

  • Assist Sr. Paralegal in the maintenance of electronic documents and legal files, including, but not limited to, the implementation, organization and management of a documentation management program. 
  • Obtain and maintain business licenses, fictitious business name certificates, vehicle registrations and renewals, permits and other annual renewals. 
  • Research federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Assist with insurance program compliance
  • Prepare initial drafts of franchise documents, non-disclosures and independent contractor agreements for General Counsel review.
  • Support Sr. Paralegal in compliance initiatives
  • Format documents, proofread, draft letters and manage communications with outside agencies, company team members and contractors, and franchisees. 
  • General administrative duties including typing, filing, scheduling meetings. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Paralegal and General Counsel

Pay: $35 per hour and above depending on experience

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certification 
  • 2+ years’ experience working as a paralegal, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in an in-house corporate legal team setting preferred 
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), in addition to Adobe Acrobat
