Compensation: $260,000 to $365,000 annually

Position Overview: Our client is expanding its Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice group and seeks a mid-level associate for its Bay Area offices. This role is perfect for an attorney with a passion for innovation and high-tech startup companies with at least three (3) years of experience guiding startups and investors from initial funding, seed series and exit strategies/divestiture.

Responsibilities: The associate will represent a diverse client base, from early-stage startups to established technology leaders, as well as the venture capital funds that invest in them. The practice is comprehensive, covering everything from entity formation and corporate governance to venture financings, M&A transactions, and other strategic deals. The role demands strong project management skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from a leading law school with stellar academic credentials.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience at a comparable law firm.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent references, and proficiency with financial modeling in Excel are required.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
