Job Description

 

The Foreclosure Attorney position will provide our new hire with a uniquely experiential opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day bustle of a prestigious legal group’s Foreclosure Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience practicing law, preferably, but not necessarily in foreclosure, the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, produce accurate and high-quality work product in a fast-paced volume-based environment. The candidate must be able to work independently and possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Newly barred attorneys welcome to apply.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage portfolio of loans during the pendency of the lawsuit
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence during the pendency of a foreclosure action
  • Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel
  • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bar Membership in OH, KY preferred. 
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate through both verbal and written electronic correspondence
  • Demonstrate an excellent ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations
  • Meticulous analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Required Education and Training:

  • Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiency
  • Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
  • 2 years of experience practicing law in, preferably, but not necessarily in foreclosure
