Position Summary:
We have an opening for a Paralegal to join our team out of any of our U.S. office locations!
In this position, you’ll play a key role on our legal team helping manage entity licenses and registrations, maintain corporate documents such as minute books, officer appointments, and organizational charts, and assist with legal team technology, workflow, and document management. Additionally, you’ll support the review of certain form agreements under the guidance of counsel.
We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to step into this essential role supporting our legal team and the firm’s operations. If you’re a collaborative, proactive problem-solver, that has a keen eye for detail and a commitment to thoroughness, we’d love to hear from you!
What you will do:
- Manage a portfolio of global and domestic professional licenses, including architecture and engineering licenses, by:
- Preparing and processing documents for state and jurisdictional licensing
- Coordinating the opening, closing, and annual maintenance of global and domestic entities
- Requesting entity and officer changes in collaboration with firm leadership
- Managing registered agent services
- Overseeing routine entity maintenance and updating corporate information sheets
- Act as a liaison with outside counsel, at the direction of DLR in-house counsel, to determine and implement international licensing requirements
- Maintain electronic and physical corporate records and minute books; update bylaws, operating agreements, and other corporate documents to reflect board consents and resolutions
- Support the implementation and management of legal team technology, workflows, and document management tools
- Review NDAs and similar agreements as directed by DLR in-house counsel
- Collaborate with the legal team to enhance and streamline legal department processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate
- Minimum 3 years of experience providing licensing and/or legal support services, including experience working for an in-house legal team with cross-border operations.
- Notary public in at least one jurisdiction
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word) and adaptable to learning new technology tools.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills used to build trust and meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Dynamic, collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments and easily adapts to shifting priorities.
