POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Legal Support Coordinator
STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: Under the general supervision and according to established policies and procedures of the Operations Team and/or Human Resources Team. The Legal Support Coordinator will perform a variety of duties specific to attorney and business unit support including organizing, scheduling, receptionist duties, client support assistance and general administrative duties. This position is non-exempt.
Duties and Responsibilities – Legal Support Coordinator:
- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents electronically and manually as requested by attorneys or paralegals.
- Processing and scanning of team and client related mail.
- Manage office communications including receptionist duties, interoffice mail, etc.
- Docketing and managing deadlines, scheduling and calendaring as requested by legal team.
- General client and team administrative support including printing, mailing, package delivery or pick-up, organizing and managing client document needs.
- Assist with client meeting needs including facilitating food deliveries for attendees, securing conference rooms and ensuring meeting set-ups have been completed.
- Manage office appearance by ensuring conference rooms are presentable prior to meeting start.
- Order business supplies as needed or requested.
- Running reports as requested by Attorneys and Paralegals.
Job Requirements/Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize a variety of projects while working with multiple supervisors.
- Technologically savvy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Has the ability and willingness to learn new technology applications and processes.
- People oriented – enjoys interacting and communicating cooperatively with a wide range of colleagues from across the firm and visiting clients.
- Creates a welcoming environment for office visitors and SKO team members.
- Demonstrated flexibility in responding to workflow demands.
- Achievement oriented – enjoys taking on challenges while being proactive.
- Capable – shows initiative and can be trusted to perform assigned tasks and duties in a deadline-driven environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, some colllege experience preferred.
- Familiar/proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Law Firm or professional services experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills, with focus on rapport-building and listening.
- Ability to collaborate with paralegals, attorneys and other legal assistants throughout the Firm to ensure best practices are applied across the organization.
Job Type: Full-time in-office. Normal work week 37.5 hours. Work additional or irregular hours to perform essential duties as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires sitting for the majority of the workday. May lift up to 5 – 10 lbs.
