
Corporate Paralegal
We're seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Paralegal to join our dynamic Legal & Compliance team. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong transactional background and a passion for supporting corporate legal operations in a fast-paced, global environment.
Job Summary
The Legal Department is responsible for providing legal counsel and advisory services to regional business units, subsidiaries, and our corporate offices. This paralegal's responsibilities will include providing paralegal and administrative support to the Legal Department with a focus on contract management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance matters, and secretarial support.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will need to work both independently and, in a team setting to fulfill the specific responsibilities of the position, which include:
- Organize, maintain, and manage both electronic and physical legal files and document management systems.
- Draft and review commercial contracts (e.g., NDAs, amendments) in alignment with company templates and legal standards.
- Monitor the full lifecycle of bid responses, contracts, amendments, and extensions for ongoing and prospective projects.
- Support contract administration: including document preparation, review, and database entry.
- Maintain legal and compliance registers, contract activity logs, and corporate records for benchmarking and audit purposes.
- Identify and correct inconsistencies or incomplete entries in the contract management system.
- Coordinate legal-related inquiries, compliance matters, and due diligence efforts.
- Prepare minutes of meetings, routine corporate documents, and assist in bid documentation and filings.
- Provide administrative support to the VP of Legal and regional legal teams (e.g., PO creation, legal invoice processing, formatting legal documents, and signature coordination).

Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a transactional paralegal in a corporate legal environment.
- Paralegal certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong preference for Houston-based candidates.
- Strong contract drafting and review skills are required.
- Experience working with corporate record management systems and legal databases.
- Proficient in Document Repository (e.g. NetDocs) and Matter Management applications (e.g. Xakia).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of general corporate operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates high ethical standards in all matters.
