Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Purchasing Clerk and Assistant to Finance/Budget Officer

LOCATION: 211 N. Robinson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Immediate Opening

CLOSING: Open Until Filled

SALARY: Commensurate With Experience and Qualifications

BENEFITS: Full State of Oklahoma benefits, including generous monthly allowance for health coverage, paid sick and vacation leave earned monthly.  Paid holidays.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Making purchases with county funds according to county purchasing procedures; maintaining and ordering supplies for office; maintaining balance of funds on approximately 22 accounts with county/state funds; complete purchase orders on requisitions, blankets, and purchase orders when needed; pay and maintain all capital accounts county and state; maintain copiers and mail machine; process travel paid from county funds; processing the upkeep of current notaries.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 3 years of clerical experience including purchasing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Include knowledge of purchasing requirements; the procedures and techniques of business communications, office methods, and computer operations including Word and Excel. Good organizational skills and exceptional attendance are necessary to keep pace with proper inventory levels and purchasing requests. Ability is required to handle confidential work with tact and discretion; to exercise judgment in interpreting and applying rules or policy; and to establish and maintain working relationships with others.  The ability to represent the District Attorney’s Office in a professional manner is of utmost importance.
