Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting accurate and complete financial reporting for specific legal entities and consolidating results. Key responsibilities include facilitating month-end close, posting and reviewing journal entries, monitoring and resolving out-of-balance intercompany receivables/payables, reviewing the trial balance to address anomalies, and preparing and reviewing internal/external reporting with commentaries. Job expectations include planning and preparing for each monthly close cycle and timely executing all required tasks while maintaining a strong control environment.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for directing the day-to-day finance activities involving regulatory reporting and accounting policy. Manages associates working with reporting requirements and guidelines of the SEC to maintain records and prepare required financial reports. Considered a working manager. In addition to supervisory / administrative duties, individuals are actively involved in the execution of processes. Assist management in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. This role is a senior-level team lead in SEC Reporting, a team that drafts Bank of America's Form 10-K/Q, works directly with Investor Relations on the Quarterly Earnings Release and works directly with Corporate Communications to review the accuracy of the Glossy Annual Report to Shareholders. As a team lead, you will be deeply involved in planning processes and governance, and will have supervisory responsibilities over the work of others. You will also interact with the Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller and other Senior Executives. A team lead, along with the other team leads, is responsible for all activities performed by the team including risk assessments, control activities, quarterly planning activities, as well as assuming responsibility for drafting sections of the Earning Release and the Form 10-K/Q. A team lead reviews the work performed by members of the team. A team lead also partners with Accounting Policy on disclosures related to new accounting and SEC guidance. A team lead is expected to identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity and controls. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 yrs of SEC reporting experience, preferably at a large company
