Role Purpose
IHG Hotels & Resorts is in search of an experienced paralegal to support the litigation attorneys in managing various legal matters. The Litigation Paralegal will perform a variety of complex law-related tasks, such as drafting pleadings and discovery, handling subpoenas and third-party requests, communicating with outside counsel, and possibly acting on behalf of the Company in simple legal matters. The role requires a strong understanding of the litigation process, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Day to Day
- Prepare correspondence, pleadings, discovery responses, tenders, demands, contracts, etc. with minimal technical guidance by attorney responsible. Finalize and implement final version.
- Independently update and maintain litigation management system to keep track of critical deadlines, filings, defenses, and involved parties with minimal guidance by attorney responsible.
- Handle to completion factual investigations and document management, review, and analysis for preparation of litigation pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, case analysis, and other legal documents as requested.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned (e.g. preparing engagement letters, matter openings and closures, submitting claims to insurance, meeting and calendar logistics, etc.) to ensure accurate records and aid in research tasks
- Answer inquiries related to daily activities of work area, and act as a liaison between assigned work area and internal or external contacts to convey appropriate information. Compose clear and concise correspondence or memoranda as requested or required. Copy, route, and file appropriate documents in an accurate and timely manner.
What we need from you
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of a 4-year degree education and 2 years work-related experience and working towards a paralegal certificate.
- Paralegal Certification.
- 4 to 7 years progressive work related experience with significant drafting and litigation management responsibilities in a law firm, corporate, or government environment with demonstrated proficiency and understanding in one or more functions related to the position.
Technical Skills and Knowledge –
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Outlook, Office, and other progams and understanding of relevant matter management, secretariat, or entity management software and computerized legal research.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legal concepts and terms. Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written skills for the purpose of obtaining and conveying information to clients, outside counsel, management, and team members as well as producing legal material.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within stated deadlines and for more than one attorney

Location – Atlanta, GA; Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The hourly range for this role is $32.54 (67,683.20) – $40.67 (84,593.60). A candidate with relevant experience should expect to start at or near the top of the range.
