DesRosiers & Tierney, LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Estate Planning, Probate/Estate Administration and Elder Law practice.

DesRosiers & Tierney is a boutique law firm concentrated in the areas of estate planning, business succession planning, corporate transactions, asset protection, elder law, probate/estate administration and taxation matters. The candidate understands how to foster a supportive client environment in order to execute the D&T mission of helping families reach their personal and financial goals.
Due to our continued growth, DesRosiers & Tierney, LLC is recruiting an Associate Attorney in either our Duxbury or Beverly office for its estate planning and probate/estate administration department. The position will offer the opportunity to gain substantive experience and participate meaningfully in a growing practice.
Requirements. The ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:
  • 3-5 years' experience with an emphasis in Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Elder Law
  • Preference in an LL.M. graduate or a candidate with an interest and/or experience with tax matters a plus
  • Knowledge of Wealth Counsel
  • Familiarity with Medicaid Application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well-developed research and analytical skills
  • Corporate law experience a plus
Responsibilities. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for the following:
  • Draft and prepare Estate Planning Documents (Wills, POA, HCP, Revocable & Irrevocable Trusts)
  • Conduct client meetings
  • Advise and guide clients with moderate to high-net-worth estates
  • Conduct legal and tax research
  • Communicate with clients; ensure cases are managed timely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with Senior Attorney, paralegals, and other staff to meet client expectations and commitments
  • Ability to oversee multiple cases and follow through on open items. Review open client files regularly to resolve issues and move cases to completion
  • Record time and prepare client invoices
  • Build trust with clients and represent the firm in a professional manner
