
Regional Commercial Contracts Attorney
Location: Brookshire, TX
Summary:
Legal professional who specializes in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts across a defined geographic region (e.g., North America, EMEA, APAC). This role combines legal expertise with a strong understanding of business operations and risk management.
Job Duties
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including:
- Master service agreements (MSAs)
- Supplier/vendor agreements
- Distribution and reseller agreements
- Licensing, SaaS, and technology-related contracts
- NDAs and confidentiality agreements
- Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, procurement, operations, and compliance teams)
- Collaborate with regional and global legal teams to ensure contract terms comply with local laws and corporate policies
- Assist in resolving disputes or contract-related issues.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines.
- Monitor changes in regional laws and regulations affecting commercial activities and advise accordingly.
- Ensure that all contracts reflect consistent and enforceable terms aligned with business strategy.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial contract law, preferably within a multinational corporation or law firm.
- Experience with cross-border transactions and international contract law is a strong plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- Must speak English & Spanish
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations (e.g., GDPR, data privacy laws, FCPA, etc.)
- Licensed attorney in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably in the state of Texas.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Americas on short notice
- Proficiency in contract management systems and legal technology tools.
- Business acumen and ability to align legal strategies with operational goals.
