Position Summary:
Ready for the next step in your legal career? Join our dynamic legal team to fashion your future as a legal assistant and be part of providing high-quality legal services across diverse brands, teams, and divisions within the RAA group.
Key Highlights:
- Diverse legal practice: As an in-house legal assistant with RAA, you’ll support our legal team in providing a wide range of legal services to departments across our business from IT and marketing to ecommerce, logistics, and licensing. You’ll review and manage contracts and corporate records, draft legal documents, and coordinate with outside counsel.

- Collaborate across departments: You’ll have opportunities to support various business teams, brands, and company divisions and work closely with company associates.
Essential Job Functions:
- Client communication: Act as a liaison between the RAA legal department and company associates in managing communications and providing legal services.
- Contract lifecycle management: Facilitate and lead the review, administration, and management of RAA contracts throughout the contract lifecycle using contract management software.
- Administrative Support: Act as a liaison between legal and finance departments to track legal department expenses, assist with preparation of budget reports, and manage outside counsel and other vendor monthly billing, invoices, and accruals. Track deadlines. Coordinate signatures and execution of contracts and other legal documents.
- Drafting: Under the direction of RAA attorneys, draft, proofread, and edit various legal documents (e.g., NDAs, consulting agreements, and litigation hold notices) and correspondence.
- Trademark Maintenance: Under the direction of RAA attorneys, assist with tracking intellectual property maintenance deadlines, gathering information and specimens, and coordinating with outside counsel for related filings.
- Corporate Reporting: Prepare and submit annual and other periodic corporate reports and filings with secretaries of state and other business registration/qualification authorities and assist the finance department with state-specific franchise tax and similar filings required by secretaries of state.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain legal department files and corporate records for RAA entities, domestic and foreign.
- Confidentiality: Understanding and adherence to confidentiality and legal and ethical standards in handling sensitive, proprietary, privileged information.
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills accompanied by flexibility to quickly adapt to and balance competing priorities. Tact, discretion, and independent judgment. Ability to manage tasks and deadlines efficiently and effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ progressive work experience in a corporate law practice (private practice or in-house)
- Associates degree
- Proficiency in Office365 – including Microsoft Teams
- Experience with contract review and lifecycle management, drafting, proofreading, and editing of legal documents, and corporate recordkeeping
- Resourceful self-starter, able to work independently and prioritize assignments and deadlines
- Able to lift and carry 15-25 lbs., see and hear, and perform repetitive hand and foot movements
Bonus Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Linksquares, Agiloft, or similar contract lifecycle management platforms
- Knowledge of various project management methodologies
- Bachelor's degree
