Why Apply

If you’re bilingual, confident, and mission-driven — and you know how to get things done in real time — this is your opportunity to make an impact behind the scenes. You’ll be a trusted support to our legal team, helping deliver critical documents, interacting with court staff, and moving fast to support our clients and attorneys.

This is not a desk job. This is an on-the-ground, people-facing role for someone who’s resourceful, professional, and ready to represent the firm with excellence wherever they go.

Role Objective

The Legal Runner will be responsible for carrying out administrative legal tasks in person — such as delivering paperwork to court, securing signatures from judicial authorities, and supporting the flow of legal operations between our office and external institutions. You’ll serve as the “feet on the ground” for our legal team, ensuring urgent needs are handled promptly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and retrieve time-sensitive legal documents to and from courts, notaries, and agencies
  • Obtain signatures from judges or court officials as directed
  • Interact respectfully and professionally with legal and government authorities
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with the legal team for task updates
  • Occasionally support with in-person filing or notarization (if applicable)
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow firm protocol on all assignments

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Spanish (Required)
  • Confident, professional demeanor — especially in government or legal settings
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and punctuality
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Notary Public (preferred, not required)
  • Experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a law firm setting (preferred)

This Role Might Be a Fit If You...

  • Thrive on movement and multitasking
  • Aren’t intimidated by court clerks or courthouse halls
  • Value timeliness, accuracy, and professional presentation
  • Want to contribute to the mission of immigrant justice from the field
