Job Description

Erickson Immigration Group (EIG), is a full-service, premium business immigration law firm located in Arlington, VA. We pride ourselves on a "Perfect Plus" customer experience through trust, honesty, transparency, and availability to our clients. We currently have a career opportunity for a business immigration Paralegal I join our team in a hybrid capacity (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).   

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • With a high-volume caseload, prepare and file petitions and applications, for employment-based non-immigrant visas, including (but not limited to) H-1B, TN, E-3, L1, and associated dependent filings.
  • Prepare and process O-1 and EB-1 petitions
  • Compile and analyze case facts, drafts correspondence, and maintain and organize client documentation.
  • Review documentation to determine facts and information.
  • Maintain direct contact with multiple Attorneys, Foreign National clients, and in-house Global Mobility Managers.
  • Report to Attorneys, Case Managers, and/or other relevant leaders.

 Qualification Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of professional working experience as a paralegal preparing employment-based non-immigrant visas.
  • NIV writing experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational & time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to generate work products with considerable accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Works independently toward team goals.
  • Outstanding case/project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) including actively listening.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Strong team focus that assists to foster a sense of community within the firm.
  • Multi-tasking and fulfills daily responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Accepts and adapts to feedback regarding work performance.
  • Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
  • Proficient in case management systems - VisaTrax, INSZoom, Litify, LawLogix and other document management systems.
