
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for providing project and administrative support for the Legal and Corporate Finance teams, including providing support on day-to-day operations, key initiatives, project work, general administrative tasks, and meeting and travel planning.
Main Responsibilities
- Support General Counsel in managing legal operations of a global company, including supporting all aspects and phases of corporate and legal transactions and projects as they arise and coordinating with outside counsel
- Assist in legal document management and legal research, including the formatting, drafting, and revision of legal documents; administer use of and maintain form legal documents
- Communicate and obtain information from/for internal and external clients for various projects
- Review, organize and update corporate minute books and other business organizational and governance records, including annual officer resolutions
- Assist in the preparation and recordkeeping of material for quarterly board meetings
- Update and maintain legal and corporate finance library, filings and documentation, including IP filings, insurance renewals, business licenses and annual report filings
- Project management and coordination for various projects including bank calls, leadership meetings, audits, insurance renewals and other projects as needed
- Prepare meeting agendas and assist in developing presentations and financial reports
- Schedule and organize meeting logistics including room set up, refreshments and technical needs
- Support travel and expense planning and reporting as needed
- Assist with other projects and work as needed
Qualifications, education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant; must have significant understanding of legal processes and familiarity with legal terms and concepts
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities to deliver solutions within strict deadlines
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills
- Polished verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including comfort in dealing with senior management
- Proactive approach and ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
The estimated annualized base salary range for this role is $55,000-$70,000. Compensation will vary based on skills and experience.
