Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist Attorneys & Supervisors with managing business immigration matters for corporate clients, including the preparation and filing of petitions, visa applications, and other immigration-related legal documents. This position requires a strong understanding of U.S. immigration laws and regulations, particularly related to employment-based immigration, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file complex immigration petitions and applications including, O-1 E-2, EB-1, EB-2 NIW, I-140, and adjustment of status (I-485) petitions.
  • Manage high-level client communications, ensuring clear, professional, and timely responses to inquiries and document requests.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys on intricate business immigration matters, drafting legal correspondence, including support letters, affidavits, and legal briefs.
  • Conduct meticulous legal research on evolving immigration regulations, government policies, and key updates in business immigration law.
  • Oversee case management with a proactive approach, tracking deadlines, organizing case files, and ensuring all filings meet the firm’s standard of precision and compliance.
  • Coordinate with Intake and Caseworker teams to ensure smooth onboarding and processing of corporate clients, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
  • Track developments in U.S. immigration laws, particularly those impacting corporate and business immigration, and provide insights and updates to attorneys and clients.

Essential Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and paralegal certification
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized.
  • Past experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and escalate case issues to supervisor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to contribute to positive work environment, effectively collaborate and promote teamwork

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
