Position Overview: As a Billing Specialist, you will report to the Finance Manager and provide full-service administrative financial support to assigned attorneys and/or legal assistants. This role involves overseeing the billing process, preparing invoices, compiling data, and recording information into the firm's accounting system. You will review New Account Memoranda for completeness and activate clients/matters with special billing instructions. Additionally, you will prepare, review, edit, and present pre-bills to billing attorneys, coordinate multiple billing memoranda for combined bills, and investigate inquiries regarding client charges.
Qualifications : Qualified candidates should possess an associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or have at least one year of related experience, preferably in a law firm. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word are required, along with excellent client service skills and the ability to respond to questions from lawyers, clients, and employees. Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail skills are also required. This is an in-office role.
