Job Description

Why this role Build a litigation practice at a firm that genuinely values quality over quantity — and pays like it. We're building out our litigation team with real estate and commercial cases that matter, and we're compensating at the top of the Florida market to attract attorneys who want to do serious work without being a billable-hour machine. You'll get hands-on courtroom experience, diverse casework, and the infrastructure to do the work well. What you'll do Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and substantive correspondence. Appear in court, mediations, hearings, and depositions — early and often. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff across our multi-office network. Communicate clearly and directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. You'll own your cases with real autonomy, supported by a team that has your back. What we're looking for You're an active Florida Bar member with 2+ years of Florida civil litigation experience — including real courtroom time. You're a strong writer and analytical thinker who can manage competing deadlines without supervision. You communicate clearly with clients and hold your own against opposing counsel. You're client-focused, team-oriented, and ready to take on cases rather than shadow them. JD from an accredited law school required. Bonus points for: real estate or commercial litigation experience, first- or second-chair trial experience, deposition experience beyond 30(b)(6) basics, or boutique/mid-size firm background. What we offer ·         $150K–$200K base — top of Florida civil litigation market — plus bonus potential ·         Health insurance, retirement plan, and generous PTO ·         CLE fully covered ·         Annual all-expenses-paid firm trip (post-eligibility) ·         A collaborative, multi-office Florida firm with a genuine commitment to work-life balance ·         Quality-over-quantity caseload — not a volume-based billable mill Ready to apply? Send your resume and a brief note about a case or motion you're proud of handling to jyoungblood@berlinpatten.com. We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to respond within a week.

Salary
  • $150,000 - $200,000
