We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Assistant to join our growing team.

Position Overview

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to our attorneys across multiple practice areas. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage a variety of legal and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, contracts, closing documents, and estate planning instruments
  • File legal documents with courts and government agencies (electronically and in person)
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule hearings, closings, and client meetings
  • Maintain and organize case files, both physical and digital
  • Assist with trial preparation, discovery, and document production
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties in a professional manner
  • Support billing, time entry, and general administrative tasks

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigation, real estate, or estate planning
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software (we use Mycase)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • High level of discretion and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with e-filing systems and Microsoft Suite
  • Associate’s degree or certification in legal studies or paralegal studies
