Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting accurate and complete financial reporting for specific legal entities and consolidating results. Key responsibilities include facilitating month-end close, posting journal entries, monitoring and resolving out-of-balance intercompany receivables/payables, reviewing the trial balance to address anomalies, and preparing internal/external reporting with commentaries. Job expectations include planning and preparing for each monthly close cycle and the timely execution of all required tasks while maintaining a strong control environment.

This role is for a Legal Entity Controller II position in SEC Reporting, a team that drafts Bank of America's Form 10-K/Q reports and works directly with Investor Relations and Corporate Communications on the Quarterly Earnings Release.

This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing sections of the Form 10-K/Q and the Earnings Release. This role is also involved in various projects, which may include process improvement initiatives, implementations of new accounting standards, reviews of data provider procedures and other ad hoc reports. The Legal Entity Controller II position will also interact with business partners across the organization and is expected to work with other members of the SEC Reporting team as well as other groups to escalate and/or resolve reporting issues as they arise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of reporting experience, preferably in public accounting or at a large company
  • Critical problem solver

  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables at once while adhering to deadlines

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Masters in Accounting
