
Summary: Senior paralegal will oversee the legal department, mentor other paralegals and clerks and must be highly organized and pay close attention to details, tracking and timelines as well as coordinating with outside General Counsel on business and litigation matters. Oversee other paralegals and/or legal assistants. Performing these job duties often takes coordinating a team of people and liaising with both internal departments and external organizations.
Essential Functions:
A: Job Specific
Summarize cases and prepare biweekly reports to CEO and VP of Finance
Overseeing the TDI process and timely filing
Keeping track of changes in the legal framework and providing timely updates on changes
Prepare and organize various legal documents for upcoming cases and trials.
Prepare affidavits, legal contracts, pleadings and correspondence
Contract administration and organize and archiving documents related to company records in LinkSquares database; facilitate, save, track and coordinate all contracts and eSignatures
Assist with analysis of contract terms and summaries
Provide compliance metrics reporting for contract management
Build and refine Standard Operating Procedures that improve team and contract workflow efficiencies
Work independently negotiating, drafting and editing employment and physician agreements, notices and other legal documents
Create and maintain case files, both digital and hard-copy; manage electronically stored information
Responding to discovery
Ensuring that copies of documentation are properly filed and distributed
Schedule appointments, client meetings and calendaring court dates
Creating and organizing appendices, briefs, indexes
Coordinating and interacting with outside counsel
Performing legal research
Identifying and contacting experts who may help in a case
Taking minutes at company meetings
Review of information and preparation of liens
Demonstration of agility in handling a variety of matters as they arise

HIPAA: Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with HIPAA privacy laws, follow hospital policy in provision of patient confidentiality. Able to identify patient confidentiality issues and reports to proper hospital personnel immediately.
