About the Role
We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the pipelines and infrastructure that power our business operations and analytics. This role ensures that data is accurate, reliable, and accessible across teams. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail oriented, and business minded, able to partner with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high quality data solutions that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, flat files, and external feeds.
- Develop and optimize data models to support reporting, analytics, and operational workflows.
- Implement data quality and governance practices including validation, monitoring, documentation, and version control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and troubleshoot workflows, ensuring data reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies that enhance the efficiency and scalability of the data ecosystem.
- Contribute to overall data strategy by shaping standards, best practices, and long-term architecture.
Qualifications
Required
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with ETL or ELT development and orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, Prefect, or Luigi
- Hands-on experience with data warehouses or lakes such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks
- Strong understanding of data modeling and schema design including dimensional and relational
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and their data services
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to scalability and performance
Preferred
- Experience with real-time data streaming such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices
- Familiarity with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices for data workflows
