Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe Litigation Awards & Recognitions Coordinator will contribute to the preparation of compelling litigation content for legal awards and ranking publications and other Firm marketing purposes. This writing-intensive position requires the Litigation Awards & Recognitions Coordinator to draft, organize and refine original content drawn from legal documents, news sources, attorney feedback and other key materials. This position will also maintain an organized repository of submissions, ensuring accuracy and consistency across materials.
- Works with the Manager of Litigation Awards & Recognitions in a highly collaborative environment to prepare submissions for various recognition opportunities, including industry and legal ranking publications, surveys and directories;
- Drafts bespoke essays effectively summarizing Firm and partner accomplishments;
- Drafts partner biographies, practice overviews, matter descriptions and other content for marketing purposes;
- Monitors developments in litigation matters and updates existing submissions content as needed;
- Communicates directly with partners regarding submissions review and approval;
- Coordinates partner interviews in connection with awards and recognitions and prepares background materials;
- Coordinates Firm attendance at submissions-related events;
- Prepares comparative rankings analysis reports;
- Analyzes ranking results and drafts summary memoranda for senior management;
- Identifies submissions deadlines and key project milestones;
- Updates and maintains litigation submission tracking calendars, project timelines and work plans;
- Maintains internal submissions-related electronic databases;
- Maintains archives of submissions-related documents and information;
- Conducts research on submissions opportunities and other content-related matters;
- Assists with the implementation of an efficient and effective submissions process;
- Develops annual submissions goals and strategies; and
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Marketing, Business, English or Communications;
- 2+ years of prior office experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional service firm; legal marketing experience preferred;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent archiving and organizational skills;
- Excellent reading comprehension and research skills;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines;
- Extremely strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
- Ability to take initiative to drive assignments involving a large volume of information;
- Sound reasoning and judgment to work effectively without prior precedent and to maintain confidentiality and discretion;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Knowledge of litigation practice areas such as securities, antitrust, general commercial and intellectual property;
- Knowledge of InterAction, Foundation and iManage preferred; and experience with research databases (e.g., CourtAlert, Bloomberg Law); and
- Availability to work overtime, as needed.
This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $62,000 to $70,000 plus overtime. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
